Volunteering time to help out

Many have offered volunteer help and support. We have Recycling Operations Centers in Orlando, Houston and Atlanta. If you live in one of these cities we would love for you to come visit and help us recycle soap. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Holly Boland.

Saving our Planet

If we are successful in creating a National hospitality-recycling program, we can prevent approximately 1.5 million bars of soap and bottled amenities from hitting our landfills and precious water systems.

Saving Lives

By recycling and sterilizing the collected soap and shampoo products, and then re-distributing them to domestic homeless shelters and people in impoverished countries suffering from diarrheal disease and acute respiratory illness, we can reduce the effects of these deadly diseases by up to 65%!

Donate Money

We are supported by the generous contributions of individuals and corporations. We work hard to make every dollar count. Each dollar we get allows us to completely recycle and redistribute 30 days worth of soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion from two hotel rooms. That equates to approximately 40 bars of soap and 40 bottles of shampoo that will not fill our landfills, but instead supply five needy families in an impoverished country or here in the US with life saving necessities for one month.

For every $1 donated to Clean the World, we can supply five needy families with soap and shampoo for 1 month

Spreading The Word

Today, Clean the World has 100 hotels in the state Florida and 25 across the country. Our goal is to ensure that all 4.6-million hotel rooms in the US are recycling their partially used soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and bath gel. We need every hotel in the US to hear and know about the recycling option with Clean the World. We need every local and state official to know about the recycling option with Clean the World.

  1. Please contact hotels in your area.
  2. Please tell hotels that you stay in, especially the hotel’s General Manager, about the Partner Recycling Program.
  3. Attached is a list of the top 10 corporate hotel chains. Please call, email or write, asking them to use Clean the World to recycle their hotel amenities.
  4. Please contact your local and state officials and advise them of the Clean the World recycling program, asking for their support within your local and state hospitality community.
  5. Please contact your local hotel and lodging association about Clean the World.
  6. Please contact your congressmen and congresswomen about our program. We need their support and grants available to charities like ours that are both saving our planet and saving lives!

Individuals Donating Soap

Many have asked about sending in your soap and shampoo to Clean the World directly. We accept soap and shampoo from individuals. Additionally, if you are a school that would like to conduct a soap drive, we are happy to support you through the many studies and detailed information on our web site. At this time, we have very limited funds so we are unable to assist financially, but we would gladly receive your soap and shampoo and ensure the items are given to those that need it most. Some have asked about buying soap and sending it to Clean the World. Remember, every $1 donated recycles two hotel rooms for an entire month and produces approximately 40 bars of soap. While we are truly appreciative that you are compelled to purchase for our cause, we ask that instead you donate to Clean the World so that we may also recycle a hotel room in the process and prevent needless landfill waste.

 

Distributing Soap to those that need it

Many have asked for soap for various missions and organizations helping the needy. Yes, we would like to support you. We have limited finances so assistance with the shipping would be greatly appreciated, but we can most likely satisfy your request. Please email your request to Steve DeLisle.

Get a Disney Day.

Disney's Give a Day, Get a Day Program was a huge success for Clean the World. In cooperation with Hands On Orlando, Clean the World received over 1700 volunteers between January and March.

Disney's Impact - Time line:

  • 1-1-10 Disney’s “Give a Day Get a Disney Day” program begins
  • 1-11-10 Clean the World moves into new facilities.
  • 1-12-10 Earthquake hits Haiti
  • 1-15-10 New Facility ready for operations
  • 1-20-10 Disney’s joins Clean the World.
  • 1-25-10 Clean the World makes first Disney pick-ups.
  • 2/8/10 First group of volunteers arrive.
  • 3/8/10 Disney program ends.
    • 3/20/10 Last group of volunteers at CTW.

In 41 days with the help of Disney volunteers and others which totaled right around 1,025 CTW recycled 225,000 bars of soap and 185,000 bottles of shampoo was Disney’s impact was huge for Clean the World.

For 225,000 bars of soap @ 2oz bars can provide soap for 5,625 families for 1 week.
